On July 20th, 1969 People from all over the world tuned in to ABC News on their Television sets to watch one of the most monumental live events in our life time. For the first time in world history humanity gets to experience America being the first to land on the moon. The people watch as the Lunar Lander approaches the surface of the moon & Neil Armstrong takes the first step on the moon. When Neil Armstrong says that “This is one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” This event kicked off the technical revolution.

By 1991 The World Wide Web goes public. By 1998 Google launched the first major internet search engine. 1 one later in 1999 the first social network is kicked off called LiveJournal. But the popularity of Social Media didn't really kick off until the early 2000's. With sites like Friendster, MySpace, LinkedIn, & Photobucket.
In addition to the Social Media sites other innovative platforms were taking shape. Like Video Chat released by Skype in 2003, Podcasting in 2004, Video uploading by Youtube 2005, & Document sharing by Slideshare in 2006.
